Financial Calculators

Artog have a range of free calculators for your website. The following is a Mortgage "Extra Payments" calcuator and an example of what they can do for you.

Security

Security threats from many sources can be annoying and at worst damaging. We use a number of security systems that you might like to investigate.

These two are free and we have them running in the background permanently on our computers. You can assist them to continue the good work by making a donation at any time;

Spybot Search and Destroy. We have been using this system for a number of years now and find it unobtrusive and an excellent way of protecting your computer from maliciuos software attacks. It is easy to install and easily understood.

Spyware Blaster. We have been using this system together with Spybot Search and Destroy. We have not experienced any conflicts and believe it has helped us keep bug free.

We also use Spyware Doctor, not free, which has helped us get rid of the occasional bug that gets past the two above. If you choose to subscribe to this system you can either; run it a couple of times a week (thats what we do as it does slow down your computers) or have it running permanently. Your choice.

Convert Files to PDF for Free

This site will convert many files types to PDF.

All you do is locate the file you wish to convert by browsing your Hard Drive and send it to them by email. They email your file back to you in PDF format. We have used it for convering one page Word documents and have the converted file returned within 60 seconds. http://www.pdf24.org/

FreshBooks

We searched the Internet and Networking groups until we found FreshBooks for Invoicing and Time Tracking management.

FreshBooks is by far the easiest system to manage your receivables and control billing time.

Adobe Reader

To download the V8 Adobe Reader so you can access PDF Files go here and follow the instructions. Be sure to check that your computer system meets the requirements.

Fight SPAM

• We installed and use the professional version of SPAMfighter. The standard version is free for private use and the professional version is very reasonably priced. Click the Logo to go to their home page for more information and installation instructions.

Internet Explorer V7

• We installed IE7 and find its working great. The new "tab" browsing feature is particularly useful. Click hereto go to the Microsoft IE7 Home page, read about it and installation instructions.

Skype

• Want to talk to me and friends for free? Consider using Skype a Voice over Internet (VoIP) system.
• If you have your PC set up for sound and have a microphone, you are ready to install Skype.
• Works best on Broadband.
